CAUTION Risk of explosion if the batteries are replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
The CISA DOMO Connexa lock detects whether it is powered by batteries or the mains. If powered by the mains, the Smart Door will not display battery warnings.
You can also configure the power supply manually using the Nuki app. Go into the settings Manage Smart Door > Battery type.
Please note that cheap batteries from discount stores deplete faster and the battery low warning may appear shortly after the batteries have been changed.
For longer usage we recommend
Open Nuki app and select:
Smart Door > Settings > Manage Smart Door > Disable "Bluetooth Pairing".
When "Bluetooth Pairing" is deactivated, you can add new users by creating invitation codes through the Nuki app.
You can reset your Smart Door to factory default settings using the Nuki app.
All data will be permanently deleted. After the factory reset, you can set up your Smart Door again.
There are two ways of resetting your Smart Door to factory default settings:
Open the Nuki app and select: Smart Door > Settings > Manage Smart Door > Factory reset
Open the Nuki app and select: Settings> Help > Smart Door Factory reset .
By setting up a six-digit PIN code, you can protect your Smart Door (administration, activity log and user management) against unauthorised access. To set the PIN, tap on the desired Smart Door in the Nuki app and open the settings. Select “Manage Smart Door”. Here you can configure the PIN under the option “Change PIN”.
Every user who knows the PIN can make changes to the Smart Door configuration. This means there is no exclusive administrator for the Nuki app; there are users who have the PIN and can therefore view the areas mentioned above, and there are users who do not have access to administration, the activity log and user management because they do not know the PIN.Forgot PIN
Nuki relies on state-of-the-art encryption methods which are also used for online banking and other smart home systems. Your data will not be stored on our servers. With these safety precautions, your Smart Door is protected from unauthorised access.
Details of the Nuki encryption concept can be found here
With Auto Unlock, your Smart Door is automatically unlocked when you come home.
To improve the quality of the Smart Actions and especially Auto Unlock, follow the suggestions below:
Auto Unlock automatically unlocks your Smart Door when you come home.
Auto Unlock filter
If you come home with your family or friends, we have included an Auto Unlock filter, so your Smart Door does not perform numerous unwanted Auto Unlocks consecutively. If, within two minutes, several smartphones send Auto Unlock requests to the same Smart Door, only the first Auto Unlock will be performed, while the other Auto Unlocks will be filtered for the next two minutes to avoid unwanted locking operations.
By setting up a six-digit PIN code, you can protect your Smart Door (administration, activity log and user management) against unauthorised access. To set the PIN, tap on the desired Smart Door in the Nuki app and open the settings. Then select “Manage Smart Door”. Here you can configure the PIN under the option “Change PIN”.
Every user who knows the PIN can make changes to the Smart Door configuration. This means there is no exclusive administrator for the Nuki app; there are users who have the PIN and can therefore view the areas mentioned above, and there are users who do not have access to administration, the activity log and user management because they do not know the PIN.
If you have forgotten the PIN for your Smart Door and no other user knows it, you must reset the Smart Door to factory settings to regain access to the PIN-protected areas.
The perceived volume of the acoustic feedback depends on the material of the door, the type of installation and the structural conditions on site. Some materials have a strong sound-absorbing effect.
The sound level can be lowered. To change the sound level, simply select the desired Smart Door in the Nuki app and go to the settings. Now choose “Manage Smart Door”. Here you can configure the “Sound” level as Normal, Low or Off.
To pair a Smart Door via Bluetooth with your Nuki app, proceed as follows:
To prevent guests from pairing your Smart Door directly with other smartphones, deactivate the “Bluetooth Pairing” option.
Open your Nuki app and go to Settings > Manage Smart Door and disable the “Bluetooth Pairing” option.
When “Bluetooth Pairing” is deactivated, you can only add new Smart Door users via an invitation code.
You can lock and unlock your Smart Door with the Nuki app using either the buttons or swiping.
With the Nuki app you can lock or unlock your Smart Door via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth range is about 10 metres but it could be reduced by doors, walls and other interference. If you have a Nuki Bridge, you can even lock or unlock your door from a distance.
Tap on the Smart Door in the Nuki app and choose the button with the desired locking operation. You have the choice between:
By swiping left or right, you lock or unlock your door quickly. The default setting for swipe gestures is “intelligent”. This means that Nuki unlocks the door if it is locked and locks the door when it is unlocked. You can change the settings for swipe gestures by tapping on the Smart Door in the Nuki app and opening the settings. Then choose “Actions” and “Swipe right” or “Swipe left” to adapt the function to your personal preferences.
To manage users, tap on the desired Smart Door in the Nuki app and enter the settings. Then go to "Manage users". Here you can see the already authorised users and you can edit them or invite new people to access your Smart Door. If you have a Nuki Bridge, this even works from a distance.
To invite people in an instant, you can also open the menu (top left) and choose >b> “Invite person”.
With the Nuki app you can share access permissions with your family and friends. If you have a Nuki Bridge, this even works from a distance. You can share invitation codes with your Nuki app, e.g. via text message or email.
To generate an invitation code, tap on the desired Smart Door in the Nuki app and enter the settings. Then go to “Manage users” and choose “Invite users”. By creating the invitation, Nuki generates an invitation code which you can share with the invited person.
Invitation codes can only be redeemed once within 48 hours.
To add a Smart Door via an invitation code, proceed as follows:
You can control and use your Smart Door even when you’re far from home. This is done by installing Nuki Bridge and activating the Remote Access service by entering your RAAC (Remote Access Activation Code).
If you did not buy a Nuki Bridge and its RAAC with your original purchase, you can always get them afterwards.
If you have more than one Smart Door, you will need an RAAC for each one. If you already have a Nuki Bridge but not an RAAC, you will need an RAAC to activate Remote Access.
